Pisang Peak one of the most interesting trekking peaks is strategically situated in the Annapurna region of Nepal, providing breathtaking glimpses of the high passes in the world. A hanging glacier guards the western flank of the mountain is a strenuous proposition to tackle during climbing this magnificent peak. A German expedition team discovered this wonderstruck trekking peak and made their first ever journey way back in 1955 to create history. Pisang Peak rises over from Pisang village and yak pastures in a uniform slope of ice and snow to the final summit of the pristine peak. Pisang Peak is one of the highly enduring and strenuous trekking peak requiring profound technical abilities to conquer this magnificent peak.

Pisang Peak climbing journey commences from Besisahar leading enroute to common Annapurna Circuit trails and reach Pisang in a 5 days. From here to reach the base camp from Pisang village, the path ascends through sparse wood and pasture to a Kharka, which is a remarkable place for setting up the base camp. High Camp is set up at climbing to a shoulder on the South-West Ridge. The snow starts setting in at the high camp from the end of November to the end of March. The well defined ridge leads to the final snow slope which is quite steep and little difficult to reach the summit. Summit of the peak offers magnificent views of the Annapurna group including Tilicho Peak, Annapurna II and IV, Ghangapurna and the Glacier Dome. After a successful summit, we continue our trek to Manang valley and continue further up to Thorong Pedi. Here we cross the highest pass of the world, Thorong pass at early morning and arrive at Muktinath. We descend further down through scenic Jharkot village, Kagbeni, a gate way to Upper Mustang and reach jomsom, on towards the bank of Kaligandaki River from where we take an early morning flight back to Pokhara where our trip finally culminates.

Pisang Peak climbing has always been a paradise of varied eco systems diverse culture and ever changing landscape with the deepest gorge in the world easily makes this one of the most popular treks in the world.
