Ammonite is an award-winning independent film production company. They have been in existence since 1994 making high quality, high-definition films about science and natural history for the BBC, Discovery, National Geographic and many more. This time Ammonite films are making a new ultra high definition (4K) 7 part wildlife series Called ; “The Age of the Big Cat’s” for international broadcast.
Series includes episodes on the 7 Big Cats found around the world including the Snow Leopard,Cheetah, Jaguar, Lion, Tiger, Puma and Leopard. For the Tiger episode, They film in Bardia National Park, Nepal, in February-March 2017. This film will educate people about the importance of the tiger in this unique landscape and inspire them to want to conserve this species as well as its natural habitat.
Fishing Impossible series-2 a BBC earth televison series team headed to Nepal in October, 2016 to shoot one of their series episode. In the episode they head to an destination, renowned for it’s natural beauty, Bardia and the mission is to catch the legendary Golden Mahaseer fish is Babai river, Bardiya, Nepal.
The aim of this series is to give their viewers the oppurtunity to experience the scenery, wildlife and culture in the world’s most exotic and interesting locations.
