Kali Gandaki valley trekking is an exciting trekking trail in the Annapurna region holding spectacular Himalayan views, the desiccated landscape and mixed culture. The Thakali people who inhabit kali Gandaki area are renowned for their hospitality and for being obliging hosts.

Annapurna Kali gandaki trekking trail follows the Kali Gandaki River from the Hindu lowlands in the south to the Buddhist villages and people in the upper valley. At Tukuche you head off the main trail and head to the spectacular Dhaulagiri icefall where you are greeted with exciting views of the icefall and across the deep valley to the Annapurna. As you continue north towards Mustang and Tibet the scenery changes dramatically, the landscape becoming much drier and the river bed widening. At Muktinath you have time to explore the famous Hindus and Buddhist temples and make an excursion to the base of Thorung La Pass before descending to your treks end at Jomsom and a spectacular mountain flight to Pokhara and then back to Kathmandu.
